The Neighborhood
Needs You! to Participate in a Committee
Many neighbors have expressed interest in helping improve our neighborhood, but didn’t want to commit to board positions. A great way to help out is to join one or more of our committees for the 2002-2003 year. Just send e-mail to HOA@rridge.org or leave us a voicemail message at (425) 369-2110 if you want to sign up. Committees typically meet once a month or once a quarter, and the first meetings will be in September or October. The committees are:
v Architecture Control Committee (ACC): Processes applications for architectural changes to homes; works with homeowners to find a mutual solution to architectural changes
v Bylaws Committee: Helps the board interpret, clarify, and amend the CC&Rs and Bylaws
v Environment Committee: Patrols the neighborhood for front lawn and landscaping maintenance violations, and other upkeep violations like peeling paint, etc. This is a new committee for this year.
v Finance Committee: Creates, reviews, maintains, and estimates the annual budget, as well as finding ways to save money for the HOA and increase income
v Garden Club: Neighborhood entrance landscape improvement planning and planting events, as well as discussion of gardening in general
v Safety Committee: Plans neighborhood events and disseminates information related to safety
v Social Committee: Plans neighborhood events where neighbors can meet with each other and enjoy our beautiful neighborhood
v Web Committee: Creates, maintains, and improves the www.rridge.org neighborhood web site

Back Yard Landscaping
Good news to report: All 300 homes in Renaissance Ridge have finished installing their back yard landscaping! Thank you to everyone for installing, maintaining, and beautifying their back yards. Not only does it help with water and erosion problems, but it makes the neighborhood a more beautiful place!
Next Meeting:
There will be an all-neighborhood meeting in early December to approve the 2003
budget and discuss other new business; date, time, and location to be
determined.
