Notes:
Activities during the month and general Discussion (includes
Action items)
- Don shared the annual proposal from
Earthworks. The charges are the same as last year. Don will question the what happens to the 500 spring bulbs that are
planted each year because Earthworks has been planting 500 each year.
Given the good job that Earthworks have done over the years, they will be
appointed again as our landscapers for 2011
- Discussed the quarterly newsletter
that was proposed the last meeting. All Board members like the idea of a
quarterly newsletter. Don has some content from his landscaper and based
on the season tips can be added to the content. This could be posted
online and referenced in the Facebook pages as well as the HOA dues from
MacPhersons. At the next meeting we will ask Deidrie
to share a format and content that she has been provided by other Board
members. Mak wanted to explore if there was a incentive to homeowners to look at the newsletter
- Yogesh
will send Mak details of MacPhersons to check if
they accept online payments and see if there could be an incentive for
setting up automatic payments
- From previous meeting Michael had
mentioned that we should look into hiring someone to shovel the snow in
particular the areas around the crossings within the neighborhood and also
the two exits to SE 8th. He was going look into the cost of such service
- Yogesh
mentioned that MacPhersons will from now on start charging $45 for new
homeowners as move in fee. They will list the fee in the letter they send
to the Escrow company
- Ann-Marie had reached out to the
City for placing Stop signs on the intersection of 242nd and 11th. City of
Sammamish have this on their list of things to do and will happen in the
near future
- Yogesh
mentioned that he just received and approved the Social committee expenses
for 2010 for $690. Given that majority of the expenses are incurred near
July 4th Yogesh we will ask David and Kim to
submit these expenses for reimbursement in a timely manner so that
expenses fall in the correct month / year
- There was general discussion about
replacing current mailboxes with locked mail box units. All are in favor
of locked mailboxes and this discussion has taken place many times between
different Board members. Yogesh will dig out the
old email threads
- Yogesh
presented the letter of appointment of Stanford Munko
as auditors for 2010 financial statements. Their cost is $1,500 and the
Board approved the appointment.
Activities from telephone calls and email
- Don had the email and phone calls in
December. There was no activity.
Financials for the year
- Financials to
Dec 2010 will not be issued until after the 15 of January
Next Meeting will be held on Saturday February 5th at Starbucks
next to Eastlake High School at 8AM
