Notes:
Activities during the month and general Discussion (includes Action items)
-
Discussed the quarterly newsletter that was proposed the last meeting. All Board
members like the idea of a quarterly newsletter. This will include spring /
summer work reminders such as maintenance of yards, painting of exterior, gutter
cleaning etc. At the next meeting we will ask Deidrie
to share a format and content that she has been provided by other Board members.
-
Yogesh will reach out to MacPherson's to get a list of current homeowners so
that Board members can walk through, identify issues and send reminder letters.
-
Yogesh had reached out to MacPherson's to find out what it would cost to have
full management of HOA where MacPherson's would walk through the neighborhood
with a Board member, identify issues, send letters to home owners, and deal with
Homeowners questions and concerns. This service costs an additional $750 per
month. The general consensus from the Board is that we should carry out these
functions ourselves for the time being.
-
Ann-Marie had reached out to the City for placing Stop signs on the intersection
of 242nd and 11th. City of Sammamish have this on their list of things to do and
will happen in the near future
-
There was general discussion about replacing current mailboxes with locked mail
box units. All are in favor of locked mailboxes and this discussion has taken
place many times between different Board members. General consensus is to use
individual locked mail boxes that cost approx. $200 each. HOA does not have the
resources to fund this and if the HOA were to get this done, a special
assessment would have to be levied. The other option would be to let the
homeowners know of the approved mailbox and let the homeowners install these
themselves.
-
Michael has received estimates for replacements of fences along SE8th and along
242nd. Board needs to review these and get the fences fixed this summer. Fence
along SE8th between 242nd and Windsor Green is vandalized regularly and there
are very few options left and the Board may leave this from repairing for a
little while.
Activities from telephone calls and email
-
Yogesh had the email and phone calls in March. All the activity related to
damage caused by the wind storm along SE8th.
Financials
-
Financials to Feb 2011 are available. All is in line with budget. We have
instructed MacPhersons to start lien process of homeowners that owe more than
three sets of dues.
Next Meeting will be held on Saturday May 7th at Starbucks next to Eastlake High
School at 8AM
