Activities during the month
and general Discussion (includes Action items)
- Michael has received estimates for replacements
of fences along SE8th and along 242nd based on the priority and condition
of the fence that are in need of replacement. All quotes do not include
staining and Tax. He reached back to the three contractors to determine if
they would re-consider their quotes and there is not much of a change.
Next steps and action items from the last meeting are:
Michael to look into
doing a background and reference checks on the top fence vendors and whether
these companies are prone to providing change requests.
Need a price quote
on staining of the fences
- Don received an estimate from Natural design to
replace the fences that are around the two play ground parks and these are
quite high. There was discussion on whether we should pour concrete into
the posts to elongate the life, and also whether we should have a two
phased approach - first to replace the one at the Rock Park and second
would be the three slide park
- Maintenance of common parks - Don will ask Jim to
replace the wooden planks that are broken on the benches also add fresh
- Don mentioned that the maintenance company is now
mowing the stretch along 242nd on a weekly basis and all agreed that this
was looking much nicer.
- Don had received an email from a home owner
requesting that we consider the latest colors for the exterior house
paints that are being used by builders these days. All are generally in
agreement as long as the recommended paints are an extension of the
existing pain colors. Don will respond back.
- Locked mail boxes. Yogesh mentioned that the
update has been posted on all the kiosks and on FB. The revised update is
based on getting homeowners to email HOA that they want a locked mailbox.
We have over 25 home owners signed up so far. Hopefully we will get more
than 100 homeowners to avail the discounted price. Ann-Marie mentioned
that one homeowner is willing to go door to door to get their approval to
get locked mail boxes. There are some mail kiosks that are shaking and
need to be pinned down.
- July 4th parade and activities were well
attended. It appeared that we ran out of ice cream quite early. Michael to
reach out to David and Kim to see if we can add snacks / ice cream to the
movie nights. We have more budget for such activities.
- Michael mentioned that we need to send a reminder
to home owners that are not mowing their lawns. All agreed that these need
to be targeted for home owners that are not maintaining their yards.
Yogesh to reach out to MacPhersons to see if they can send the letters
- Someone has been kicking the lights at the
entrance to the neighborhood on 242nd. These need to be replaced but will
wait for a little while
- All agreed that the Annual HOA meeting should be
held at 9AM on Aug 13th and the agenda topics will be locked mail boxes
and Fence repair work. Yogesh to work with Kim to put the street tents at
the entrances 10 days before
