October 2005:

  • Please read the amendment to the neighborhood CC&Rs passed by the HOA Board.  It covers new rules regarding lot maintenance and other important information.
  • Welcome to the new 2005-2006 HOA Board of Directors!  Rick May joins as Vice-President, John Digenan as Treasurer, and Don Corbett as Secretary.  Scott Densmore is the new President and Suzanne James returns for the second half of her term as Director At-Large.  Thank you to Bill Provost for serving the past 2 years as President!

August 2005:

  • The Renaissance Ridge Homeowners Association annual meeting was on Saturday, August 27, 2005, 9:00 am, at the Rock Hill Park basketball court (240th & SE 13th)
  • Is your child entering Kindergarten next month?  Meet other incoming Kindergartners every Wednesday in the month of August at 4:00 pm at the park on 242nd.  More info is here.
  • Come join your neighbors for the Renaissance Ridge Movie Nights in the Park!  On Friday, August 5th, The Incredibles will be shown at 8:45 pm, and on Friday, September 2nd, Racing Stripes will be at 8:00 pm

  • Many homes participated in a neighborhood Garage Sale on Saturday, June 4, 9 am - 1 pm.

March 2005:

  • The official list of approved exterior/outside home paint colors has been published by the ACC and Board and can be found here.
  • A financial reserve study was completed for our neighborhood recently.  It outlined major expenses expected in the future related to repairs and replacement work for the neighborhood common areas.  Based on the report the Board has concluded that we need to be saving much more money every year.  The complete report can be viewed here (PDF format, 564 KB) (requires Adobe Acrobat or the free Adobe Reader).
  • There was a Renaissance Ridge Homeowners' Association Meeting on Tuesday, March 22, at 7:00 pm at Skyline High School, room 218.  It included news from the Board of Directors and answers to your questions about our neighborhood.  Meeting minutes are posted.
  • A copy of the spring newsletter is now online.

  • The Halloween Social was 4-5 pm on October 31st.  Bring your kids and custumes!

  • New HOA board members have been elected.
    Thank you to last year's Board of Directors for doing a great job and keeping the ball rolling - John Digenan, 2002-2004 Treasurer; Scott Manson, 2002-2004 Director At-Large; and Jim Jackola, 2003-2004 Vice-President.
    A huge thank you to Bill Provost, 2002-2003 Vice-President and 2003-2004 President, for staying on one more year as 2004-2005 President!
    Welcome new board members, Scott Densmore, 2004-2005 Vice-President; Janet Ritchie, 2004-2006 Treasurer; Renee Ragon, 2004-2005 Secretary; and Suzanne James, 2004-2006 Director At-Large.  Thank you for volunteering to help maintain and improve our great neighborhood!

  • The annual Renaissance Ridge Homeowners Association meeting was Saturday, August 14th at 10:00 am at Rock Hill Court (240th Way & SE 13th).

  • Some defective Fireside fireplaces were installed in homes in The Reserve and possibly in Renaissance Ridge.  The metal frame around the glass can warp, causing it to separate from the glass front.  If you open the grate under your fireplace there is a tag with the model number on it.  The defective models are numbers GCDC 60 and GCDC 80, installed between the 23rd week of 1999 and 23rd week of 2002.  If you have this model please call Fireside at 425-251-9447 and give them your information, and they will replace the glass and frame free of charge.  If you would like Fireside to install it they charge $55.00.  Thank you to our neighbor, Katie Martin, for informing us.
  • Thank you to Jennifer Rohleder and Michelle Manson for co-chairing the Social Committee this year!
  • The annual spring Egg Hunt event was on Saturday, April 10th, at Ridgecrest Playground (on 242nd).  Thanks to Jennifer Rohleder and the Social Committee for arranging it!

  • We're still looking for a Social Committee Chairperson to lead the organization of some fun spring and summer events for our children and neighbors!

  • Homeowners are welcome to attend the Finance Committee meeting on Wednesday, December 3rd, at 8:00 pm, at Treasurer, John Digenan's, house - 1416 240th Way SE.  Please e-mail treasurer@rridge.org if you plan to attend or have any questions.

  • Dues and other payments should be sent to our new financial management company, MacPherson's.  Click here for the new address.

September 2003:

  • The RRHOA Board begins a new year!  Thank you to Don Corbett, 2002-2003 President, and to Brett Waldbaum, 2001-2003 Secretary, for your great work and service to our neighborhood.  (Brett has volunteered to continue as the Webmaster.)  We welcome incoming Vice-President, Jim Jackola, and are looking for someone to fill the open Secretary position.
  • The Social Committee hosted an awesome weekend for the Renaissance Ridge Days!  Thank you to Sherrie Newman for leading the organization of this big event!  Also, Brent Newman deserves a big thank you for organizing the Golf Tournament (28 participants!), and congrats to the winners! 

August 2003:

  • August 23rd all-neighborhood meeting minutes.
  • The HOA's accounting firm, Century Small Business Solutions, has a new address.  Payments should be mailed to their new address.
  • The HOA board apologizes for the mistake made by Century, our accounting company, in the dues and special assessment mailing.  Instead of accompanying the invoices with a letter describing the special assessment they sent a letter about liens.  Century has already mailed an explanation letter.  The board has received many inquiries about the reason for the special assessment.  The 2003 budget has more expenses than what is covered by regular homeowner dues, and to make up for the deficit, for the third straight year the board has approved a special assessment.  The board anticipates that as dues continue to rise 10% a year (the most allowed by the neighborhood covenants) the special assessment will decrease every year, until the dues are in line with the budget.  The 2003 budget is posted here for your review.  If you are interested in being on the 2003-2004 Finance Committee please come to the elections on August 23rd (see below) or contact treasurer@rridge.org.  Please contact us if you have any other questions about dues or the special assessment.

  • The annual Renaissance Ridge Fourth of July Parade was a huge success this year!  Thank you to Sherrie Newman and the Social Committee for organizing the awesome parade!

  • The Renaissance Ridge 2003 Egg Hunt was on Saturday, April 19th at 10:00 am.  Click here for more information.
  • Spring is here!  Now is a great time to mow, fertilize, and spray your lawn to combat destructive crane flies and keep your grass healthy throughout the year.

March 2003:

  • The Social Committee is busy planning events for the spring and summer.  If you would like to participate in planning and organizing these upcoming events please call or e-mail social@rridge.org.
  • Passwords have been e-mailed to 180 out of the 300 homes (60%) in the neighborhood.  Ask your neighbors if they have received a password yet, and if not to contact password@rridge.org.
  • Curious how many neighbors have logged-in so far?  Check out the log-in statistics page.

  • The neighborhood directory and your contact information is now available on this web site!  You can send e-mail to password@rridge.org with your name and lot number if you would like a password to access these pages.
  • The City of Sammamish held a community meeting on Wednesday, February 12th, to discuss the issue of identity and mail theft.  Click here to learn more.
  • If you need a copy of the HOA's master insurance policy for a home refinance you can print it out from here.

  • The City of Sammamish holds its next 244th Corridor Study community meeting on Wednesday, November 13th, 6:30 pm, at Inglewood Jr. High School, 24120 NE 8TH ST, Sammamish
  • Congratulations to the winners of the Halloween Home Decorating contest!  There were many orange lights, jack-o-lanterns, and cobwebs, but these houses really stood out:
    • 1307 240TH WY SE -- Gus & Shannon White's house
    • 1315 240TH WY SE -- Scott & Tammy Steciw's house
    • 24026 SE 9TH CT -- Tim & Michelle O'Leary's house

October 2002:

  • Join us for the neighborhood Halloween Party on October 31st!
  • Decorate your home for the season by October 30th to take part in the contest for the Halloween Party!
  • Committee chairs have been selected.  If you would like to join a committee to help improve our neighborhood, please contact any of the committee chairs at the e-mail address listed here.
  • The City of Sammamish is considering proposals for another corridor through the city besides 228th, and some of their plans include using 240th or 242nd Avenues in Renaissance Ridge.

  • New board members have been elected. Thank you, Martin Dunn, 2001-2002 President; Kyle Downey, 2001-2002 Treasurer; and Katherine Hall, 2001-2002 Director At-Large, for your participation on the Board and wonderful contribution to the HOA! Thank you Don Corbett for your work as Vice-President in 2001-2002 and for being our new President for 2002-2003, and Brett Waldbaum for continuing into the second year of your term as Secretary.   • Sign up for the Garage Sale and Golf Tournament, and come to the all-neighborhood barbeque during the Renaissance Ridge Days weekend August 31st - September 1st!
  • Picnic in the Park is every Friday night at 6:00 pm!
  • Homeowner Association meeting on Saturday, August 17, 2002, at Renaissance Ridge Rock Hill Court (basketball court on 240th). Registration and ballot pick-up begin at 9:00 am. Elections and the Summer Meeting will be 9:30-11:30 am. Please bring your own chairs or blanket to sit.  If you cannot attend and still want to vote please fill out your proxy ballot and give it to an attending neighbor to vote in your absence.

    • Mountain View Court – North end of the trail and basketball court on 242nd
    • Ridgecrest Playground- South end of the trail and play toy on 242nd
    • Rock Hill Court – Basketball court and park on 240th
